The Alchemist

My heart is like a lead Ball
Since you've been gone
It used to shine out like a star
When I could do no wrong
I need to turn it back to gold
I need to do it now
I’ve got to find an alchemist
Someone to show me how
I search around both high and low
But there is no one there
I need to travel to the past
To carry this repair
The planes are down
The trains have stopped
I’ll need to go within
To land my feet on a Paris street
That once had magic in
Oh Nicolas Flamel
I can see me sitting there
At the feast of friends
All bathed in light
I see the love within
I take a spark from in your heart
And hold it in a ball
Place the love inside my heart
And walk back through the wall
Now words so mean can't bother me
They just don't hurt at all
I've changed my heart from heavy dread
Into a golden hall
With room enough for everyone
And I can now stand tall
And walk through life with gratitude
And my golden ball.
